Ocean Attribute Organiser

 This week our new theme is Exploring the Ocean. I was really excited about this topic, as there are so many things to learn about. The ocean is massive and we haven't even discovered all of it. This is an activity that I completed recently. We had to write about something happening to our oceans. I wrote about the topic "Our Ocean are Dying". This topic really interested me as I could talk about a wide range of problems. It's so sad what's happening far beneath the surface and I'm glad I could learn more. Amsterdam Brochure

This is a new piece of work that I have been doing in Literacy. At the moment our theme is Countries. This was one of the activities we had to create. It's a Brochure about Amsterdam. The Brochure shows you amazing places in Amsterdam that I would definitely want to visit. I really enjoyed this activity as I have a dutch Heritage. Amsterdam is such a beautiful city. I Think that this came out really well, but could have fixed up a couple things. Thank you so much for taking the time to look through my Blog.  

Continent Poster

 This week in literacy our theme is Countries. This was an activity about different continents. We had to find out different facts about Continents. It was really interesting to learn knew facts. We also went into lockdown this week so I completed this from home. I think that I completed this well but could have added more detail to some parts. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Attribute organiser

For literacy this week our theme is The Olympics. This theme has been very interesting and exciting. For one of our activities we had to fill in an attribute organiser. It was interesting to learn about different dressage riders. This activity taught me a lot of things. I think that  did really well but could have added more facts. 

Poster

 This is what I created in literacy today. This weeks theme is create your own theme so I picked horse riding. I do horse riding myself so I already knew some things about it. For one of the activities we could create what we wanted so I created this. Its about the different brushes you use to brush a horse. I worked really hard on this and am very proud of it. I think that I did well with my facts but could have made it more brief. I hope that you can read through this.

A Piece of My Writing

 Today before we started with our literacy work, we did some writing. We could write about anything and could find pictures to help us write. I started a story and hope to keep going with it. I hope that you can take the time to read through it. 

Here is my story:

The sky was dark, black clouds raced around. A storm was coming fast. There was no sign of the three missing kids. Rescue teams had been searching the forest for two days and everyone was losing hope.

The children had gone camping with their parents. The parents were shocked when they woke up to find that their three beloved children were nowhere to be seen. Then twenty-four hours later rescue teams were scanning the area.

Its just a small piece that I want to continue with. I think that I did really well, but maybe could have made some of my sentences longer. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog.

 

Poster

 This week in literacy we had to create are own theme. I chose horse riding as I do it as a sport twice a week. I love doing horse riding and am glad I could share some information about some different disciplines. The activity was fun and really interesting. I think that i did well but could have added more. Thanks for taking the time to read my blog.

Strange and Wonderful animals

 This week in literacy the theme was Strange and Wonderful animals. One of the activities was that we had to fill in an attribute organiser about strange animals. We had to find out where they were from, what their habitat was like and some facts on them. I learnt many new facts about different animals. The activity was really interesting. I learnt about some animals that I didn't even know existed.

I think that I did a good job finding facts on these strange animals, but could have been more specific on their habitats. Thank you for taking the time to read through my blog post. I hope you can learn something new from me.

Gaming benefits

Our new theme in literacy is Video games. We have been focusing on the good and bad about the games and also the history. Its been interesting to learn about. At first I didn't think I would be interested in this topic but it was actually interesting. In this activity I worked on the benefits of gaming. I think that I did well on it over all but could have added more pictures.

My own word find

 This is a word find that I created in literacy. All the words that are in it have to do with the brain. There are 10 words hidden in it. These are the words: Brain, Stress, System, Spinal chord, Think, Healthy, Water, Sleep, relax and heart. If you want you can try find the words. I think that I did well in this activity but could have added more than ten words. 

Parts of the brain

 This was one of our activities for literacy this week. We had to label the parts of the brain. I had know idea what all of the parts were called and found it interesting to learn. The brain is so interesting and I have enjoyed learning about it. I think that I did well on this poster .

Stress brochure

 For literacy this week we are learning about everything to do with the mind. We had to create a brochure about stress. The brochure explains how stress works. It was interesting learning about what stress is. I think that I did well but could have added more information.

Teamwork Tips

 This week we have been looking into The America's Cup. One of the activities was that we had to make  a poster on teamwork. This included what teamwork is all about, listening to each other and supporting each other. The activity really made me think what good teamwork is all about. I am happy with how the poster came out, but I think I could have placed the pictures better.

St Patrick's Day

 

Are new theme in literacy is Celebrations and Festivals. We had to create a poster of us at a St Patrick day celebration. We got pictures of are faces and put them onto people that are celebrating. This activity was fun and interesting. I found it interesting  learning more about what people do to celebrate. I think that I could have made the faces blend in more but otherwise I did well.

Country Fact file

 In literacy this week we are learning about Geography. We had to create a fact file about a country. I chose Brazil as I don't know much about it. I learned new facts and enjoyed doing so. I think that it came out well and is rather eye catching. I could have added more facts though.

Ballet Fact File

 Our theme in literacy this week is dance. We had to create a fact file about a famous ballerina. I chose Misty Copeland, I think that she is a great dancer is was nice learning more about her. This was a fun activity.

Go noodle vs Just Dance

In literacy this week are theme was Dance. One of the activities was to find differences and similarities between Go noodle and Just Dance. It was hard to find similarities but I managed to find one. At the bottom I said that I liked Just dance more than Go noodle. I said this because I think that the way Just dance does it dances comes out better. It was nice learning more about both of these companies.
 

Colour wheels

In literacy our theme was brands. Apart of the theme we had to make a colour wheel. I found it hard to make circles so I made squares instead I think that it look good and my next step would be to learn more about the colours. Overall this was a fun activity and I learned more about colours.

 

Ant snack

Our theme is insects in literacy and we had to make an advert for an ant snack. I came up with fire ant chips It was fun making it and coming up with ideas.I think I did well in this activity but could have made a better picture.

Bug Cafe

Our new theme in literacy is bugs and insects we had to create a bug menu that had ten things on it.I had lots of fun creating my menu.I think I did a good job but maybe could have added some picture s as well. It was cool making it and coming up with ideas.
